I'm fundraising for...

In 2022 a friend from the Bow Cyclists Club, Lee, asked me if I would consider joining him on the Cancervive ride for Wellspring. This ride raises funds for people living with cancer through Wellspring Alberta. With all the support of my family and friends, I was able to raise nearly $1,000.00 that year and nearly $2,500.00 last year. I invite you to help me reach my fundraising goal as I participate in a bike ride through Banff National Park.

 As much as I enjoy cycling to support those living with cancer and their caregivers, I have discovered that with this ride I have been able to help fellow cyclists reach new cycling goals and achievements. Last year I worked with Joel to lead a group of cyclists on the 110km route. More than half the cyclists had never completed a ride over 100km and some had limited experience in group riding. We all completed the ride as a group due to the ability to work together on the bike. Helping riders learn about hydration, fuel for the muscles, drafting in a pace line and effective riding positions is something I enjoy sharing and the thrill of watching people achieve new goals is so rewarding. 

 So in 2024 I hope to pass last years fundraising goal as well as meet new riders who want to complete the challenging route along the Banff Parkway. Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of someone living with cancer. Please consider supporting me in my efforts to have a positive impact on someone's life.
