I recently signed up for the Cancervive Ride for Wellspring. This ride raises funds for people living with cancer through Wellspring Alberta. I invite you to help me reach my fundraising goal as I participate in a bike ride through Banff National Park.
I am cycling to support those living with cancer and their caregivers. Did you know 1 in 2 Albertans will get cancer in their lifetime? Wellspring Alberta is a charitable organization that supports, informs and empowers anyone diagnosed with any type of cancer, their caregivers and their families. They offer a comprehensive range of evidence-informed programs and resources free of charge and without referral, all under the vision that no one has to face cancer alone.

Wellspring Ride
Thursday 5th SepIn just over a week Marcus, Levi and I will be cycling 25k in beautiful Banff for Wellspring Alberta.
I can’t say enough about Wellspring and the special place it has in my heart. It’s through the art programs there that my love for creativity and artistic expression was reignited after many years of dormancy. It’s a place where I started to unpack the tangled up knots that are a cancer diagnosis, treatment, “survivorship”, fear, grief, loss and even joy. This ride is about looking back with gratitude for all I have been given and looking ahead with hope in joining their team of volunteers.
I am dedicating this ride to the memory of my dear friend and artist Robin.
Robin passed away in June at the young age of 47. I will ride for her and her family so others have the same opportunity we had through the generous gifts of supporters like you.
Any gift you make to this wonderful organization helps families who are facing cancer at any stage find resources, support and community to know they don’t have to face cancer alone.
