Wellspring Cancer Support has been a place of healing for me on an unexpected journey through Cancer.  I was blessed to attend several Wellspring programs including Nutrition classes, a Peer Support Group, Alberta Cancer Exercise Program, and my beloved Ukulele support group!

Another part of my healing was my songwriting.  This concert consists of original songs that were mostly written during the time I was in active cancer treatment.  I am happy to share these songs in support of Wellspring and in the hope that they will encourage those who hear them.

Wellspring helps people with cancer live better. Your donation will make a difference as it helps provide programs and services that meet the emotional, social, physical and practical needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them.

The more people that know about Wellspring, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!  I am looking forward to sharing an afternoon of music with you!

Sharing Songs of Hope

Ebony Matter is a wife, mom of two, teacher, and singer-songwriter.   She completed her Bachelor of Music (voice) and Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta.  Ebony has been writing songs since childhood and has found hope and healing through faith and music.  This concert will include original songs written while on an unexpected journey through cancer, with hopes that they will uplift and inspire all who hear them.   “Sing Through the Dark” is a reminder to keep singing — to stay positive and keep looking for the bright side — through whatever challenges life may bring.
