Get ready to step up and shine at the first ever Wellspring Alberta First Responders Stairclimb! This event, held in partnership with Edmonton Police, Fire, and EMS, is all about high hopes - high hopes that you will rise to the challenge, raise funds and awareness for Wellspring Alberta, and help make a difference for those with cancer.

It's easy to participate

On September 28, 2024, you can be the first to compete with fellow first responders in a race to climb 66 floors of the Stantec Tower in Edmonton's Ice District. By registering, you'll have access to Wellspring information, an online fundraising page, and tips and support to help you reach your goal. Join us for this inaugural event and make a difference in the lives of those with cancer. Together, we can climb to new heights and support a great cause.

Race the Responders

Not a first responder? Are you ready for a challenge that will put your skills to the test? Become one of only 10 participants to fundraise a minimum of $5,000 and compete against some of Edmonton's top ranking public safety officers in Race the Responders. This group of climbers will be in a separate competition, racing to the top of Stantec Tower to claim the title of "2024 Race the Responders - Fastest Climber".

Our services are available online, over the phone, and in-person, meeting you where you feel most comfortable. Whether you have cancer or are caring for someone who does, join our safe landing place among friends who understand the physical and emotional landscape of cancer. Accommodations

We have partnered with Delta Edmonton, located just blocks away from Stantec Tower, to offer our out-of-town guests exclusive room rates for event weekend. Space is limited, so book early to get the rate!

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for different categories including the fastest climber, top fundraiser, and more. All participants will receive a swag bag filled with climb memorabilia such as a coin medallion, event t-shirt and other items.

Street Party

On event day, gather with participants, families, and spectators at Stantec Tower for a kick-off ceremony followed by a day of climbing, cheering, and celebrating. End the day with race highlights, prizes, speeches, and a chance to meet and greet fellow first responders.
