FAQ

• Registration Fee: $30 
• Online registration will close on Saturday, September 31, 2023
• Children 12 and under: FREE

• Register as an individual or as a team and set a goal for event day! 
• Walkers can choose any goal they like; once around the route is 2.5 km.
• Registered participants will receive their own fundraising page they can customize and use to raise funds online to reach their personal fundraising goal. When they reach their goal, they can choose to make a higher goal.

• Registration opens at 9am and participants will enjoy some breakfast snack and beverages.
• Warm up will begin at 10am.
• Walk kickoff will be at 10:30am.
• Once individual/group walk goals are complete participants will be welcome to join the festivities of entertainment, games, and lunch (all included with the price of registration).
• Dogs are welcome to attend but they must remain leashed at all times. 

The Big Walk takes place on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Funds raised through the Wellspring Chinguacousy Big Walk for Cancer Support will help provide the many supportive care programs and services offered at Wellspring Chinguacousy, to help those living with cancer and their loved ones overcome the practical, emotional, physical and informational challenges that come with a diagnosis. Wellspring receives no annual government funding and is entirely supported by donors like you!

Wellspring receives no annual government funding and is entirely supported by donations. These funds can mean vital support programming for cancer patients and their loved ones. For example:

• Raise $600 and provide 2 families with access to short-term counselling
• Raise $1,000 and provide one person with the opportunity to participate in a 20-week, personalized Cancer Exercise program
• Raise $4,500 and provide 96 individuals with access to 8 sessions of Nourish
