Help me support Wellspring through my Firefighter Stairclimb
On June 14, for the third year in a row, I’ll be taking on Calgary’s tallest tower @ 57 stories / 1370 stairs and this year it means more to me than ever.
I’m dedicating this climb to a little boy who holds a huge place in my heart, my best friend’s son, Kaius, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia back in September. The last eight months have been incredibly heavy. Watching someone so small face something so big, and seeing what his family carried alongside him, has been one of the hardest things to witness. There were many moments that felt unfair, exhausting, and overwhelming in ways that are hard to put into words.
But through it all, Kai kept showing up with a strength that doesn’t make sense for someone his age and today, he’s in remission. That word carries so much relief, so much gratitude, and so much hope.
This climb is for him. And it’s for his parents, who I love deeply, who showed up every single day with more courage and resilience than most people will ever be asked to give. This climb is also for my grandparents, who we lost far too soon to cancer — for the family and people I know who have fought and won, and for those still in of their battle 🫶🏼
If you’re able to, I’d really appreciate your support - whether that’s donating, sharing this, or just cheering from afar. Every bit of it matters more than you know.
Thank you for being part of something that’s so close to my heart. 🖤
