I am participating in the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge taking place this June in support of Wellspring Alberta. I am excited to take on the challenge and look forward to pushing myself to climb in support of people living with cancer.

Thursday 12th FebI joined the firefighter/paramedic service at 40 years old—proof that it’s never too late to challenge yourself or step into something uncomfortable. The Firefighter Stair Challenge on June 14th in Calgary is my way of pushing my own limits, supporting a profession I’m proud to be part of, and raising funds for cancer victims that directly impacts the fire service.
I’m also doing this for my kids. I want them to see that growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone, that effort matters, and that sometimes you voluntarily choose the hard thing stairs, sweat, and all because it’s worth it. Every step is for them, for the fire family, and for everyone affected by cancer
