2025 Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge

I'm fundraising for...

I am participating in the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge taking place this June in support of Wellspring Alberta. I am excited to take on the challenge and look forward to pushing myself to climb in support of people living with cancer.

Proceeds from the event will support Wellspring Alberta, an organization that provides free programs, services and support to individuals living with cancer – those diagnosed, caregivers and kids. Training Update

Here’s another completely unsolicited update that absolutely no one asked for—but guess what? You’re getting it anyway.


For the last two months, it’s been nothing but training legs and stairs. 

Actually seeing and feeling huge progress and it feels so good!


I apparently enjoy suffering and so have been training in my hotel stairwell in Aruba with zero A/C. That’s right—melting in tropical heat, soaked in sweat…really trying to get that “in gear feeling”. 


I originally set a 45-minute goal for the Stairclimb Challenge, but honestly? That’s feeling soft now. I’m calling 40 minutes in now!!! LETS GO!!!!!

My JOURNEY so far....

Wednesday 19th Feb
When I first signed up for the Stairclimber challenge, I didn't post about it right away. Honestly, I was nervous. I wasn't sure if I'd get much support, and part of me worried that I might back out or find an excuse not to follow through. Staying consistent and showing up for myself has always been something I've struggled with, so committing to this challenge felt like a big step.

But here I am!! Training, showing up, and pushing myself harder than I have in the past. I feel like my endurance is improving, my legs are getting stronger, and the mental barriers are breaking down.

I've raised my goal to $1500. We crushed the initial one of $300 in the FIRST DAY! I'll continue to share updates as we get closer to June 8 - and who knows, I might even raise it again! Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far! Every bit of encouragement means the world!!
