In Her Power: Flow For Michelle
In Her Power: Flow for Michelle is an 8-hour Yoga-Thon hosted by Power Yoga Canada Niagara in support of Wellspring Niagara. This powerful day of community and connection is dedicated to honouring Michelle’s life while raising funds for individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis.
While the event is inspired by Michelle’s strength and spirit, it is also an opportunity for each participant to flow in honour or memory of someone meaningful in their own life. Teams are encouraged to name themselves in honour of the person they are flowing for, and individuals may dedicate their practice to someone special to them. Together, we move as one community — united in purpose, each with our own story.

Cancer has touched every single one of us in some way. Wellspring Niagara is a pillar in our community, providing essential FREE programs and services to individuals and families during cancer treatment and recovery.
Michelle was a dear friend who lost her life to cancer. She was caring, energetic, strong, and deeply powerful. To know her was to love her. She was an Olympic wrestler, a devoted wife, a loyal friend, and a bright light in the lives of so many.
Michelle’s generosity knew no bounds — if you needed a place to stay, her door was always open. Even in her most difficult moments, including the week before her passing, she continued to reach out with hope and love, saying, “When I get better, I’m going to have you and your family over for dinner.” She never gave up hope.
This Yoga-Thon is held in Michelle’s spirit — strong, resilient, and full of heart. It is also a space for our wider community to come together and honour every loved one impacted by cancer. Whether you are flowing for Michelle, for a family member, for a friend, or in support of someone currently in treatment, this day is about collective strength, remembrance, and hope.
This day is about coming together, moving with intention, and stepping fully into our power — for Michelle, and for every name, every story, and every life represented in the room.

Our goal is to gather 10 teams. Each team will have one Team Lead and up to 10 members.
Teams are encouraged to choose a meaningful name that reflects who they are flowing for. This could be in honour of a loved one, in celebration of someone in remission, or in support of someone currently navigating treatment.
Each team is required to raise $1,000 (approximately $100 per person, depending on team size), with a collective goal of raising $10,000 for Wellspring Niagara.
There will be eight 45-minute yoga classes running on the hour throughout the day. Team members are asked to ensure that at least one person from their team is flowing in every class. Teams may choose to have more members participate per class — or even flow all day — it’s completely up to each team.
How do the sessions work?
Our Power Yoga Canada Niagara teaching team will rotate throughout the day, leading 45-minute classes with 15 minutes between sessions to reset and transition the room.
Funds raised from In Her Power: Flow For Michelle will directly support Wellspring Niagara Cancer Support Foundation. Wellspring Niagara offers a wide variety of free programs and services to meet the social, emotional, restorative and informational needs of people living with cancer. All programs are free of charge for anyone living with cancer, at any stage, as well as for their caregivers and family members.
About Wellspring Niagara
Wellspring Niagara first opened its doors in June 2001 with a mission to provide free social, emotional, psychological, informational and spiritual support to individuals living with cancer, their families and close supporters.
Wellspring Niagara fulfills the dream of Aldo Mantini, who lost his life to cancer at age 31. Aldo had inspired many in his community to work together to bring the type of supportive care offered by Wellspring to Niagara. Today the centre offers a wide range of programs to men, women and children living through the Niagara region.
As a not-for-profit, charitable organization, Wellspring Niagara relies solely on the financial support of the community it serves, the Niagara region.
