Event Basics

What is Walk for Wellspring?

Walk for Wellspring is Wellspring London & Region's annual charity walk. Our Walk is not about how far you can walk or run, our Walk is about supporting those who are going through the cancer journey – from diagnosis to survivorship and in some cases, to honour the memory of those we have lost.

Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome! Individuals, families, friends, coworkers, cancer survivors, caregivers, and supporters are encouraged to participate. Pets are welcome as well.

When is this year's Walk?

This year's walk is scheduled for September 13th, 2026. Check-in begins at 9am, and the Walk begins at 10am.

Where is this year's walk taking place?

This year's walk will take place in Springbank Park (285 Wonderland Road S.) at the Guy Lombardo Pavilion.

Registration

How do I register?

Participants can register online as an individual, create their own team, or join a team through the Walk for Wellspring website.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee.

Can I register on event day?

Yes, check-in will open at 9am on September 13th, 2026.

Can I register as part of a team?

Yes. Teams are encouraged and are a great way for families, friends, schools, and workplaces to participate together.

Fundraising & Donations

What does my donation support?

All funds raised support Wellspring London & Region and our NO-COST programs and services for anyone affected by cancer.

Is there a fundraising minimum?

Fundraising is encouraged but not required.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Any donation over $20 will receive a tax receipt.

How do I collect donations?

Donations can be collected through your online fundraising page. Cash and cheques can also be collected using the pledge sheet available for download on the Walk for Wellspring website.

Is there a fundraising deadline?

We ask that all cash and cheque donations be presented along with a pledge sheet when checking in on the day of the event. Online donations will remain open for a period of time after the event.

Can someone donate if they aren't participating?

Yes. Supporters can donate directly to the event or sponsor an individual participant or team.

Do I get anything for fundraising?

The top three fundraisers will receive their choice of prize. The top fundraising team will be presented with the Walk for Wellspring trophy.

Event Day

What time should participants arrive?

Check-in begins at 9am.

What time does the Walk begin?

The Walk begins at 10am.

How long is the route?

Participants will walk a 5km route (maximum) along the Thames Valley Parkway.

Will there be rest stops and water stations?

Water filling stations will be available at the Guy Lombardo Pavilion. Rest stops and water stations will not be available along the route. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.

Are there bathrooms available?

There are bathrooms available at the Guy Lombardo Pavilion. There are no bathrooms available along the route.

What happens if it rains?

Walk for Wellspring is a rain or shine event, unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle are recommended.

Will refreshments be available?

Complimentary coffee, muffins, and cookies will be available prior to the walk. A complimentary pizza lunch provided by Domino’s Pizza will be served after the Walk.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, all pets are allowed. Please ensure they remain leashed at all times.
