What’s more fun than climbing 57 flights of stairs?

2026 means a new year to climb !!

 I will be participating in the Calgary Firefighter Stair Climb in modified gear again this year — pushing myself physically to support an incredible cause that is close to the firefighting community.

Funds raised will support Wellspring Calgary, a local organization that provides free programs and support to individuals and families living with cancer.

A portion of the funds will also go toward the Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society, which supports firefighters and their families during times of illness, injury, and hardship.

Firefighters face higher rates of occupational cancers due to the environments we work in. This climb represents more than stairs — it represents solidarity, awareness, and support for those battling cancer and those who stand on the front lines of our communities.

On event day, I’ll be climbing to honour the strength of cancer survivors, to remember those we’ve lost, and to support the firefighters and families who carry burdens most people never see.
