I'm fundraising for my late father
My late father, Brian McGregor, was the original founder of CTAPP and Cancervive. He created Cancervive as a way to support Wellspring and also give cancer survivors hope. Cycling was an integral piece of his life and getting this part back post cancer treatment was one of his goals. I was a rider in the first year from Calgary to Austin in 2005 with him.
His passing this year was unexpected and it has been a difficult time for everyone who was close to him. It means a lot to his immediate family seeing his legacy through Cancervive and how many lives he has influenced. He was a considerably generous and optimistic person.
I am riding in the 2026 ride to show support to my father and everyone else who has been affected by cancer.

Your dad was truly a wonderful man. I adored him, and I have such love and admiration for your mom as well. As a retired Wellspring staff member and a rider in 2011 on the Bow Wow team, it was an absolute honor to participate and become part of the Cancervive family. That experience showed me, once again, the incredible difference one person can make—and the power that comes when people come together with purpose, compassion, and heart. Your dad’s life and the impact he had on others are such a beautiful reminder of that truth. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the people who continue to carry that spirit forward. Sending so much love to your family. All the best on your ride!! ❤️
