I'm fundraising for the Skyline Rush Challenge!
This September, I’m taking part in the Skyline Rush Challenge where I will be repelling down a high-rise building in downtown Edmonton! Yes, you read that right – I’m stepping off the edge and descending over 27 stories to raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer. It’s thrilling, a little terrifying, and totally worth it! I can do hard things!
By donating to me, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of many. Proceeds from the event will support Wellspring Alberta, an organization that provides free programs, services and support to individuals living with cancer – those diagnosed, caregivers and kids. I know first hand what a difference Wellspring makes to those going through a cancer journey. After getting my breast cancer diagnosis, I was bombarded with various resources. It took me some time until I had the capacity to check out Wellspring - there was a lot going on at the time - but from the first time I stepped through the doors, I knew it was a special place. From Nourish food programs to Harp Circle to Climb Nights, I have utilized many of the programs at Wellspring. They have given me tools to help along my cancer journey, friends to connect and laugh with, and a supportive community.
