I'm fundraising for...
November 14, 2024 I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. It was rare for a 44 year old relatively healthy woman to be diagnosed with this disease, and yet there I was, quickly swept into the cancer care system to begin my journey.
It has been filled with so many heartbreaking moments, and some of the trauma continues to impact me today. It has also been filled with the highest level of enlightenment and self awareness, love, support and overwhelming kindness.
In July 2025 I was declared disease free, no cancer present in my PET scan. My intuition knew this was going to be the result but hearing it from my oncologist made it real. So now I have been blessed with this gift of time to continue my journey, to live my life with intention. And I intend to help others in a manner that matters to them.
On March 25, 2026, I will be walking the runway at Well Dressed for Spring in support of Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation at The Quay.
This event will help raise funds for the cancer support programs and services that Wellspring provides, at no cost, to individuals and families living with cancer.
Having support is a fundamental aspect of care during someone’s cancer journey. Wellspring offers so many programs, peer support and a safe loving space for individuals on their cancer journey. My hope is this beautiful event will provide support to an organization that gives so much to people in our communities.
