Help me support Wellspring through my Firefighter Stairclimb
Hey everyone. I made the decision to participate in the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge taking place this June in support of Wellspring Alberta for a number of reasons. Over my 18 year professional fire service career and 10 years with the CFD Honour Guard, I've seen the impacts of cancers on firefighters, their families and on people in general. I've stood on ceremony in funerals and celebrations of life for friends that we've lost to cancer, paid tribute to all those members and offered support to their families. Participating in this stair climb is another way to help support people impacted by cancers as the proceeds from the event will support Wellspring Alberta, an organization that provides free programs, services and support to individuals living with cancer – those diagnosed, caregivers and kids.

Wellspring Alberta will gift a portion of the proceeds to the Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society (FACS) whose mission is to empower and strengthen the firefighter by enhancing the success and resilience of the firefighter community.
