🌟 Join Me (Again) in Making A Difference! 🌟
Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we raised over $3,500 for Wellspring Alberta and I completed the 110km round-trip ride from Banff to Lake Louise! 🚴🏻‍♂️
I’m excited to be riding again in this year’s 20th anniversary Cancervive charity ride!
To make things more exciting, if I raise $1,000 or more, I’ll ride the 50km route on my folding bike! (Yes, the little one with the tiny wheels. It’s not exactly made for long-distance, and it’s definitely not good for hills, but we’re doing it anyways!)
Wellspring Alberta provides over 70 free, evidence-based programs for individuals living with cancer, their families, and caregivers with no referral needed. These programs offer everything from symptom and stress management to peer support and financial planning. Cancer doesn’t end when treatment does, and with 1 in 2 Albertans expected to face cancer in their lifetime, Wellspring ensures no one has to go through it alone. 💛

That’s why the support Wellspring Alberta provides is so vital. 1 in 2 Albertans will face cancer in their lifetime, but none of them should have to face it alone.

Wednesday 20th AugOn tonight’s ride, I want to spotlight another powerful Wellspring Alberta program: caregiver support.
Caregivers are the unsung heroes in the cancer journey. They often put their loved one’s needs ahead of their own, which can be emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausting.
Wellspring Alberta recognizes their vital role and offers programs designed specifically to support caregivers. These programs create space to share experiences, find encouragement, and learn strategies for balancing care for others with care for themselves.

I’ve always thought of cancer primarily as a medical challenge, so it was eye-opening to learn about Wellspring’s finance and workplace strategy programs.
