I'm fundraising for the Skyline Rush Challenge!
This September, I’m taking part in the Skyline Rush Challenge where I will be repelling down a high-rise building in downtown Edmonton! I'll be living on the edge and descending over 27 stories to raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer. I'm excited to take part in this challenge for a good cause.
By donating to me, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of many. Proceeds from the event will support Wellspring Alberta, an organization that provides free programs, services and support to individuals living with cancer – those diagnosed, caregivers and kids. I understand times are tough so whatever you can do helps! If I have around 100 people donate about $10 each then I can reach my goal... Friday 26th Sep Hello! I've partnered with a few other climbers at Boulders climbing who did the rappelling event to work with wellspring to combine our efforts to help eachother reach our fundraising goals I will have more updates to come. Why Wellspring?
Sunday 31st Aug I'm motivated to fundraise for Wellspring because so many are impacted by cancer it is a worthy cause to support. I myself have been impacted as many others by having had loved ones be diagnosed. I've had many family members get cancer including my grandma who has celebrated her 89th birthday this year! She has gone through so much including a severe cancer diagnosis and somehow beat it despite many health problems. Although she did not receive treatment here at the time, I can see the benefit an organization like this can have on people going through a difficult time. So many are also impacted by cancer through their loved ones and I appreciate how Wellspring also supports those who are caregivers and who are deeply affected indirectly from it.
